Charles Bone PPRI, ARCA, Hon FCA is a recognised UK award winning painter and watercolour artist. Author and Illustrator, Charles' works are in private collections, including some members of the Royal Family. Most national UK papers have mentioned his work and he has had features appear in a number of magazines and received interviews on national network television. He has exhibited in the Royal Academy, the new English Art Club, London Group, RBA, Singer and Friedlander and touring exhibitions worldwide. He is illustrator of three books, and has held 41 joint exhibitions with his late wife, the sculptor Sheila Mitchell FRBS both in the UK and Internationally.

A Royal College of Art graduate Charles has exhibited many watercolours and oils in the Royal Academy, the first when still a student. He was elected to the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours and became a Director of the Royal Institute Galleries in Piccadilly. He was later elected as Vice President and President of the Royal Institute for 10 years. He was also a former lecturer at the University of Brighton Faculty of Fine Art.

He has been awarded the Hunting Group Prize for the most outstanding watercolour by a British Artist for that year. He has served as Governor and sometimes Chairman of the Federation of British Artists, and is an honorary member of the Botanical Artists and Medical Art Society.

Charles has completed murals in Eton Square, London, in Meretea Italy for Sir Frederick Wood, and in El Madronal, Spain for Mr David Wickins. Other schemes include Stourhead and the late Paul Getty senior.
